Several NC Congressional District Republican Conventions and several of the larger NC County Conventions in 2004 considered resolutions calling for the removal of Rep. Richard Morgan from the Republican State Executive Committee for Party Disloyalty. Everywhere such resolutions have been considered, they have passed overwhelmingly. (Since County and District Conventions can't directly act to remove him, what the conventions actually passed were resolutions in support of a proposed State Executive Committee resolution to remove him.) NC Federation of College Republicans Spring 2004 State Convention, April 2-4: On April 3, unanimously passed resolution calling for Morgan's removal. 2nd Congressional District Convention, April 17 2004: Overwhelmingly passed resolution calling for Morgan's removal. 4th Congressional District Convention, April 3, 2004: Overwhelmingly passed resolution calling for Morgan's removal (with one dissenting vote). 5th Congressional District Convention, April 24, 2004: Overwhelmingly passed resolution calling for Morgan's removal. 6th Congressional District Convention, April 17, 2004: Did not consider resolution calling for Morgan's removal, but elected as Presidential Elector and National Convention Delegate people who are on Morgan's "enemies list."
